There’s the whole changing-Watson-to-a-woman-is-homophobic thing because obviously the change was made so that the relationship could turn explicitly sexual, whereas all the male-male Holmes and Watson pairings can only engage in bromancey sexual tension because homophobia. I do think Elementary will have Holmes and Watson doing the nasty at least once because 1) two hot people on screen together and 2) the sexual tension will be too high to avoid it. It is indeed a little annoying for the BBC fandom if Elementary has a romantic relationship between the pair and the Beebs fans are stuck with some reaaaaaaaaaaally intense bromance.

And then there’s the whole being-mad-about-lucy-liu’s-casting-is-sexist thing because obviously some assholes are being assholes (as asshole misogynists are wont to do). And yeah, it’s shitty to say that the Holmes-Watson relationship cannot stay platonic due to one of the pair having feminine wiles. (Do I think it will stay platonic? No, and I don’t want it to stay platonic, goddammit). 

And then there’s the whole recast-both-sherlock-and-watson-as-women thing. And hey, we should probably do that one, let’s do that one y’all.

And then there’s me, still hating on Lucy Liu for participating in Charlie’s Angels 1 AND 2. So yeah, I judge her a lot for that. Girl shoulda known better.
